Projektinformationen

Since the start of the Ukrainian crisis, at the latest, an increasing polarisation in the European discourse on Russia has become apparent. It is with often shocking naivety that fake news and propaganda narratives propagated by official Russian channels are taken at face value by parts of the European public. On the other hand, many western analyses suffer from insufficient knowledge of Russian realities. With the project "Wissenstransfer hoch zwei: Russlandstudien" ("Knowledge transfer squared: Russian Studies"), the Research Centre for East European Studies at the University of Bremen (Forschungsstelle Osteuropa - FSO), in cooperation with the Grimme Online award-winner "dekoder - Russland entschlüsseln" ("dekoder - deciphering Russia") wants to make academic studies of the subject part of the (media) discourse and to increase public awareness of Russia-related issues. To this end, innovative (multi-)media formats are being developed and tested for the purpose of online knowledge transfer, in order to reach specific target groups in a more efficient and convincing way.
