Projektinformationen
In the extension phase, the project plans to capitalize on built networks and synergies in the current phase to achieve another set of objectives that will broaden my research profile across Africa, influence policy formulations at regional and continental level and network with other researchers and policy practitioners across the continent and outside it. One of the glaring gap in studies on countering violent extremism is not the lack of new and insightful analysis from a growing number of emerging and established scholars across Africa but relatively inadequate attempts to translate research outputs into empirical and result oriented policy briefs to influence interventions by various stakeholders. It is based on this observation that in the extension phase, the project plans to engage with at least three researchers based in North Africa, Sahelian Belt and the Horn of Africa region with plans of exchanging research findings and collaborating in production of timely and relevant policy formulation of regional and continental organizations mandated with fighting terrorism.
