Projektinformationen
This pilot project intends to bring the academic education at the School of Engineering and Technology as part of Agricultural University of Georgia (AUG) to a higher level with respect to engineering science in electrical engineering/computer science and build up a state-of-the-art development environment. This should finally enable the School of Engineering and Technology to become a well-prepared partner in challenging scientific as well as industrial projects. The competence development will not only be supported by pure investments and bring-up efforts but will be directly embedded into projects at the Central Institute of Engineering, Electronics and Analytics - Electronic Systems (ZEA-2) of Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH. This opens the possibility for direct "training-on-a-project" in cutting edge scientific projects. In case this approach is successful the experience may be transferable to further similar areas if the general boundary conditions at the corresponding institutions are comparable (curriculums, Bachelor/Master programs, etc.).This envisaged Smart-Digital-Development-Lab AUG should create a win-win situation for both parties. The goal for students and supervisors/scientists in Georgia is to become an integral part of the ongoing research projects at ZEA-2 and gain "realworld" experience along with the additional infrastructure for the university for education as well as research.
