Projektinformationen

The main aim of the project is to assess the sustainability of the WEF nexus in Uzbekistan by integrating the impacts of climate change and transboundary water management scenarios. The following set of research questions will be addressed: 1) How will the climate change and water management scenarios impact the WEF nexus in Uzbekistan? 2) What are the alternative water management scenarios for long-term management of the WEF nexus in the context of climate change and transboundary water management? 3) How do introduction of new policies (e.g., benefit sharing mechanism for transboundary water utilization, support of drip irrigation) provide incentives for resource users to use water more efficiently? 4) To what extent can the use of sustainability impact assessment method improve cooperation at the transboundary level in terms of sustainable WEF nexus management? The project is worked on by Assem Mayar, MA.
