Projektinformationen

This 'Experiment' is proposed to explore if carbon materials can transform during supersonic particle impact in cold spraying. A successful experiment would lead to the conception of a relatively simple and completely new method for the synthesis of interesting carbon materials such as (nano-) diamond and carbon onions from graphite or soot. The research could have a tremendous impact in the study and synthesis of carbon materials for structural, electronic and biological applications, and also provide a deeper insight into the relations between the different modifications of elemental carbon.
