Projektinformationen

This science communication project aims to bridge the gap between science and the public on issues related to gender and development in pastoralist contexts. This is a key opportunity to take social science research out of its abstract aspect and give it a concrete and useful face for society. A multidimensional strategy targeting (i) pastoralist communities in Benin, especially women and women's groups; (ii) media actors; (iii) policymakers and development agencies involved in the pastoralism sector in Benin and (iv) the general public in Benin and elsewhere is envisioned. According to the aforementioned target groups, the science communication program consists of four components including the organization of community workshops, the use of media communication, the production and dissemination of policy briefs as well as the production and dissemination of a synthesis video.
