Projektinformationen

The project explores an approach to realizing the transformation potential of small towns in rural areas in order to systematically promote sustainable regional development. For this purpose, the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt is setting up a real-world laboratory with artistic research elements and a Transformational Art Gallery for the transformation of municipal service structures in an inter- and transdisciplinary project, in which municipal employees and citizens are jointly enabled to co-creatively implement concrete municipal sustainability projects under favourable conditions. Based on a systemic approach, the project aims at profound changes in four fields of action. It is realized through the interdisciplinary cooperation of researchers from social and organizational psychology, European ethnology, art education and journalism. The cooperation partners are the town and district of Eichstätt with three municipal building yards as exemplary "change agents". Due to their broad range of tasks and their close proximity to the population, building yard employees have a far-reaching effect on the public, which is why they have a high impact potential and an important multiplier function.
