Projektinformationen
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) holds significant potential for both the economy and society, but it also introduces concerns related to social equality, privacy, fairness, or security. The project "Algorithmic fairness in ageing societies: (re-)imagining better future" addresses the multifaceted impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on society, focusing on age bias and discrimination in algorithmic systems. The primary objective of this science communication project is to raise awareness and knowledge regarding the issue of age bias in algorithmic systems, as well as increase critical reflection about this issue. We target three main groups: older persons, data scientists/AI developers, and stakeholders, each with tailored activities aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of age bias in AI. In collaboration with partners from arts, civil society and advocacy, we will organize participatory workshops with older persons, video performance and art vernissage, a hackathon for data scientist and two socio-political events held in Berlin and Brussels to engage with policy makers and develop recommendations
