By conducting an epidemiological survey in the main phase, the prevalence of mental disorders in different groups of migrants in Germany will be obtained. The Study Group will inquire utilisation barriers and resources of migrants. Mental health care institutions will be assessed in terms of migration sensitive quality standards, the impact of migrants as health care professionals, and the influence of a diversity management program. So far, none of the psychometric and patient satisfaction instruments used in the German mental health care services have been sufficiently validated for certain migration groups. The aim of the preliminary study is to adapt, develop, implement, and evaluate a psychometric test procedure for Turkish and Polish patients.
