Projektinformationen
This project has its roots in a methodological development in the framework of the Foundation's former funding call "Extreme Events: Modelling, Analysis and Prediction". It aims at providing an open source software package in R und MATLAB. Several scientific groups are interesetd in using the new method with their data. The stochastic approach allows to fully characterize cascading processes in complex systems. The method which was originally developped from turbulence data and for rogue waves is very versatile and may be used for other complex systems like financial data, heart or brain signals.
