Projektinformationen

The proposed project targets at a comparison between institutions, networks, their structures and dynamics, and their impact on knowledge sharing and innovation generation in the organizational field of the Green Economy in Ukraine, Russia, and Germany. The project consortium aims to contribute to the literature that links inter-organizational networks, institutions and innovations. While prior research has separately pointed to the influence of institutions and inter-organizational networks on a firm's innovativeness, less is known about how institutions and networks interact in different institutional settings and, in particular, in the context of the emerging Green Economy sector. The empirical part of this project builds on a mixed method approach and is based on previous collaboration between the partners. The data collection is based on in-depth qualitative interviews, survey data as well as secondary quantitative longitudinal data. The results of the previous explorative studies conducted together will provide the ground for a large telephone survey targeting organizations in Germany, Russia and Ukraine that are active in the fields of renewable energy and organic agriculture. In addition, the consortium aims to focus on a large quantitative approach to (1) identify and visualize network structures and how they change over time and (2) run statistical analysis to study their impact on the innovation generation by firms.
